If you have ever hired a contractor, you likely have firsthand experience with how important it is to find the right professional–and just how hard that task can be. In any situation, when you don’t know enough about a subject to ask the right questions or completely consider all the relevant factors, it dramatically increases the odds of an unexpected oversight.
Put another way, you don’t need to know all the steps required to move the plumbing, but you do want to know whether the contractor will hire a licensed plumber or just ask a buddy to help. Investors hire contractors and tradespeople because they want the project done better and faster than they could do it themselves. There’s an undebatable skill gap and a clear understanding of what could go wrong without that expertise.
